Students will learn about Japan and its culture from a historical and social perspective, which will enable them to approach Japan and its culture professionally with a basic objective perspective regarding its key elements.
The course places a special emphasis on teaching the cardinals of Japanese etiquette, both from a social and business perspective. After this course, students will be able to approach Japan with a set of basic tools to initiate fruitful professional and social relationships. During the course, students choose from a range of topics on Japanese culture, research them thoroughly and give a final presentation to the class.
